Filter maintenance

Sand tank filter

Sand filter is a traditional water filtration equipment, mainly by filtering sand to remove the dirt in the water. Make the water clear, to achieve the filtering effect. In the process of using the sand cylinder, the main need to do is to regularly backwash, replace the quartz sand and winterize (protect during winter).

Daily record

Step 1: Timely record the use of the sand cylinder, including running time, maintenance records, backwash cycle and other operating data. If the sand tank filter is not in use for an extended period (more than 5 days), backwash it and drain the water inside through the drainage device.

Step 2: If the pressure gauge reading on the sand cylinder is higher than 2.5kg/cm2, backwash and clean the sand cylinder. After confirming that the related water pump of the sand cylinder stops running, first press down the handle of the control valve and rotate to the recoil position, then start the water pump, turn off the water pump until the water is clean, adjust the control valve to the cleaning position, and run the water pump until it is clean. Finally, turn off the water pump, return the control valve to the filter, and start the water pump again.

Step 3: When multiple sand cylinder filters need to be backwashed, they should be carried out one by one, and not two or more filters can be backwashed at the same time. The quartz sand in the sand tank can not be used for a long time, and it needs to be replaced every 3-5 years according to the frequency of filter use.

Points to note

1.Be careful during the operation of replacing quartz sand to prevent damage to the sand cylinder head.

2.The multi-way valve on the filter must not be operated with pressure and must be operated without pressure in shutdown.

3.In winter, when the sand cylinder filter is not used, the handle should be adjusted to the winter position to prevent damage to the valve.

Paper core filter

Step 1: The paper core filter is small in size, easy to use without backwashing, and the filtering effect is outstanding, which has been favored by many private pool users. In the use of paper core filters, we need to pay attention to the following points.

Step 2: Replace or clean the paper core regularly. First stop the pump and close the ball valve on the inlet and outlet system and the pool connection pipe. Then exhaust the paper core, open the cover to remove the filter element, clean or replace the filter element, and then install the precision filter cover, open the ball valve, and finally start the water pump.

Step 3: If not used for a long time, please open the waterproof plug to release the water in the filter, and place the filter in a cool and dry place. When the temperature is low in winter, the paper core should also be drained and removed, and the filter element should be cleaned and stored indoors.

Pump maintenance

Water pump is a hydraulic machinery that transmits water to a distance by means of power equipment and transmission devices, and plays an important role in the water treatment of swimming pools. In order to improve the efficiency of the pump and ensure the normal operation of the water treatment system, we need to regularly clean and maintain the filter basket, check the seal ring of the pump’s head cover, and master the correct use and maintenance methods.

Daily records.

Step 1: Regularly check and establish running records, including running time, whether there is abnormal noise and vibration, flow, current, voltage and motor temperature are normal, etc. In case of failure, it is necessary to record the fault location, cause and analysis of discharge.

Step 2: Before running the pump, check that the hair collector is filled with water to ensure that the suction port has enough suction.

Step 3: Before starting the water pump, check whether the water inlet valve and water outlet valve are open to avoid damage to the water pump.

Step 4: In order to prevent the blockage of the pump from affecting the use of the pump, the seal ring of the pump head should be regularly checked, and the filter basket of the hair filter should be cleaned in time. When cleaning, first stop the operation of the pump, then close the ball valve on the inlet and outlet system and the pool connection pipe, and then open the transparent cover. Step 5: Clean the filter basket, then install the transparent cover, open the ball valve, and finally start the pump again.

Points to note

1. Be sure to disconnect the power supply of the pump when performing mechanical maintenance.

2. When the pump is not used for a long time in winter, the water in the pump must be drained.

Sterilizing canisters for winter treatment

When the overall filtration system is not working, if the temperature reaches freezing in winter, it is necessary to drain the water in the disinfection cylinder, carefully remove the tablets, rinse the disinfection cylinder completely with water, and reinstall the lid and drain screws.

Cleaning of suction machine

Step 1: The automatic suction machine can clean the pool unattendedly, and some can climb the wall, remote control, etc., which is convenient and efficient, and has become the most commonly used suction device for swimming.

Step 2: After cleaning, please cut off the power, then pull the vacuum cleaner and drainage pipe to the pool, clean the dirt in the filter basket, and finally install the filter net. The filter should be cleaned after each use, so as not to affect the effect due to excessive dirt in the filter bag next use.

Step 3: Clean the filter basket.

Note: The interior of the suction machine is complex, non-professionals do not disassemble the motor assembly and power control box of the main machine at will, so as to avoid damage or danger to the suction machine.

Maintenance among devices

Step 1: Keep the equipment room well ventilated, lit, and drained. Keep it dry all year round. Regular cleaning, do not clutter the floor.

Step 2: When conditions permit, do not store chlorine tablets in the equipment room. Store them in a cool, ventilated place and take moisture proof measures.

Step 3: The system should be operated by trained personnel with caution, in strict accordance with the product instructions, and in accordance with the operation procedures.

Step 4: Operate the valve slowly to prevent water hammer from damaging the valve lines and equipment. Do not switch when not in use, extend service life.

Step 5: Before or after the annual swimming season, the entire water treatment system should be thoroughly cleaned and inspected.
